Gavin Garrison has produced two seasons of the Emmy-nominated reality show “Whale Wars”; he recently produced “Whale Wars: A Commander Rises” (2013), and three one-hour specials under the Whale Wars banner: "The Devil's Den, "Fight to the Death," and "The Darkest Hour" (2015). In 2013 Gavin filmed the sports series “Nock Out” for NBC, and has a rich history with network and studio production, including work for Warner Brothers on the hit television show “The OC,” and on shows “Mad Men” and “The Middle.”
After attending the University of California at Santa Barbara, where he received a bachelor's degree in international relations, Gavin went on to work for Paramount Studios while receiving his master’s degree in film production from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. Today, Gavin consults, directs, and produces for clients around the world, including Ford Motors, Costco Wholesale, Michelin, and more. Gavin is an accomplished drone pilot with over 100 flight hours logged on productions large and small.
Gavin proudly represents Samsung as an Imagelogger and is an ambassador for Pond5, CasePro, and Light & Motion; he regularly contributes educational and editorial content to Pond5, Light & Motion, and Mountainsmith.
